Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness combines breathing, movement, meditation, stretching, relaxation, rhythm and sound to work on every aspect of your mind, body and being. It is an active discipline with emphasis on results. Over time as you practice Kundalini Yoga, certain physiological results are achieved that facilitate your transformation.
Classes offer posture, breathing practices and meditation for students of all levels of ability.
At the start of each class we “tune in” with the Adi Mantra which is an ancient yogic mantra which allows the chanter to relate instantly to the divine teacher within. Adi means primal or first and mantra means the creative mental projection using sound. It is used to tune in before Kundalini Yoga classes, to centre us in the higher self and to spiritually guide both the teacher and the students during the class
During the class you may rest at any time but do try to keep up.
Due to the number of students wishing to participate in Kundalini Yoga, please book into the class you want to attend. Please call 8431 0419 to book classes at Norwood.
Please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move and stretch in. We do not wear shoes or socks while doing Kundalini Yoga so that the energy may flow freely through the soles of your feet.If you wish you may bring a yoga mat, although yoga mats and blankets are supplied.
